The Children’s Department, a world of imagination and discovery, is located through the trees to the right as you enter the building. Our dedicated staff aims to help children and families develop a love of reading and learning through a robust collection and ever-changing roster of programs and events. Stop by to find a book, attend a program, play a game, and see what else we have to offer!

Featured Programs
1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Studies have shown that reading to infants and toddlers is helpful in forming literary skills in children. This program helps young children gain confidence in reading.
Fall Into a Book Festival
Join us each year as we Fall Into a classic children’s story with themed crafts and games for children of all ages. On September 20th, 2025, we will Fall Into Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland!
