Even when a specific vacancy does not exist, the Library always accepts complete applications. These are kept on file for six months after the date they are received. When vacancies occur, the Director and/or the appropriate supervisor will review the current applications and will select several candidates to be interviewed. LPL employees are given priority consideration for open LPL employment positions, provided the employee’s qualifications are equal to or exceed the qualifications of the most qualified outside applicant.

A week after employees are notified of an opening, the position is posted on the Library’s website for a minimum of 14 days and will remain posted until filled.  During that time, applications on file may be reviewed and the interview process may begin.
